Sasha Erwitt is a wedding and portrait photographer based in the NYC area. A photo editor and director for over 18 years, she brings an eye for editorial visual storytelling rooted in her experience at magazines Vanity Fair and Town & Country where she assigned, produced and edited photo shoots of celebrities, politicians, socialites and artists. Sasha has also edited several photography books for artists and brands including Francois Nars, Michael Kors and Ian Schrager. She holds a B.A. in Art History from Vassar College.

Philosophy and approach

Your wedding day will be filled with moments that cover the full spectrum of emotions - joy, humor, stress, relief, excitement. As a documentary wedding photographer, it is my joy and privilege to follow and capture these moments as they happen - for you to look back and remember what the day looked and more importantly felt like. I bring a POSITIVE and CALM vibe with me. My background in celebrity photo production has primed me to roll with last minute changes, drama, logistics issues. Years of editorial photo editing at magazines has trained my eye and instincts for what makes a good photo. I LOVE weddings - the ritual, the celebration, the gathering of the couple’s most important people. I care deeply about the people I photograph and want them to look their best and have an authentic collection of images to look back on.
